Your questions

What if he gets bored after three days?

That's what happens with a toy that only does one thing: the child understands the mechanism, and moves on. Our toys bring together several activities of uneven difficulty — there's always something he can't quite do yet.

If it still doesn't take, you have thirty days to send it back to us, at our expense.

How long does it keep him busy, in practice?

It depends on age and on the moment. An 18-month-old rarely stays on it for more than ten minutes at a stretch the first time, then the sessions get longer as he masters the mechanisms.

We'd rather tell you honestly than promise an hour of calm from day one.

Does it fit in a diaper bag?

The felt busy book: yes, folded it fits under one arm. The Montessori steering wheel and the Tetris: yes too. The wooden boards fit in a backpack. The furniture products (learning tower, Pikler set) stay at home.

Does it need assembling?

The felt busy book, the boards, the steering wheel and the Tetris arrive ready to use. The playhouse takes 15 minutes to assemble, the baby walker 20, the learning tower 30 and the Pikler set 40. Screws, key and illustrated instructions are supplied.

Are there any small parts?

Some models have them, and they then carry the warning “not suitable for children under 36 months”. The recommended age shown higher up this page takes this into account. Like any toy, it should be used under adult supervision.

How do you look after it?

Wood: a slightly damp cloth, then dry straight away — never soak it or put it in the dishwasher, water makes plywood swell. Felt: a barely damp sponge and mild soap, dry flat. For products that need assembling, re-tighten the screws every two or three months.

What if it arrives damaged or incomplete?

Email us at contact@miloubo.com with your order number and a photo. We send the missing piece or the complete product at our expense, without needing the return first in most cases.

Another question? contact@miloubo.com — we reply within 24 business hours.

Meet our best-seller

The Montessori Felt Busy Book

Miloubo's most popular: a single object from 6 months to 5 years, that fits in a diaper bag.

  • Seven everyday movements: zip, buttons, laces, buckles, press studs, velcro, shapes.
  • Folded, it fits in the diaper bag: car, restaurant, waiting room.
  • No batteries and no screen: it comes out at a restaurant without bothering the next table.
  • It gets passed on to the second child: velcro at one, laces at four.

Our world

It all started with a tablet held out at the table

Miloubo was born from a family dinner and a tablet held out to a two-year-old. Calm came back in thirty seconds. The guilt came right after.

Ever since, we've been looking for just one thing: something that holds a child's attention for longer than a screen does. Felt, real fastenings to open — and nothing that flashes.

Toys that children ask for, and parents are happy to give.

Read our story

Hands first

A child doesn't learn because we explain it to him. He learns because he tries, gets it wrong and tries again.

No screen, no noise

Calm doesn't come from a toy that talks. None of our busy boards makes an electronic sound.

Made for the trip

Car, plane, restaurant, waiting room. That's where a parent needs it most.

Still useful in three years' time

Velcro at one, laces at four. The same thing, but never the same game.
