From what age?
Every product page shows a recommended age. In short: the light-up sensory board from 6 months (as soon as the child can sit up), the activity boards and the steering wheel from 1 year, the Tetris and the logic challenges from 2 years. The age shown isn't decorative: it comes from the product's safety assessment.
Does it really hold a child's attention, or just ten minutes like everything else?
The difference comes down to one precise point: the number of different things to do. A standard toy offers one mechanism; once understood, the child turns away. The busy book offers more than 30 in the 8-page set, at uneven levels of difficulty. There's always something he can't quite do yet — and that's what brings him back.
Is it really safe?
The felt busy book is entirely fabric: high-density polyester felt, top-stitched pages, reinforced seams, no electronic parts. Some of the pieces are meant to come off — shapes, animals, numbers, letters: that's the principle of the game, and it makes them small parts, so adult supervision before age 3. The wooden products in the catalogue carry, when they contain small detachable parts, the corresponding legal warning. Like any toy, they should be used under adult supervision.
No batteries, really?
All our products work without batteries, with one exception: the light-up sensory board, whose LEDs are powered by batteries supplied, in a screwed-down compartment. None of our toys makes music or a voice.
Do the products need assembling?
The boards, the steering wheel and the Tetris arrive assembled, ready to use. The activity house on wheels and the learning tower take 30 minutes each to assemble: screws, key and illustrated instructions are supplied. The wall height chart is fixed to the wall, with fixings and drilling template supplied.
How long until my order arrives?
Allow 6 to 10 days in total, preparation included, Monday to Saturday, tracking included. You receive a tracking number by email as soon as it ships. Standard shipping is free, with no minimum order.
What if I want to give it as a gift?
All our products arrive in plain packaging that can be given just as it is. The Discovery Set is the one most often given as a gift: all 8 pages, over 30 activities and the free travel strap, in a single box.
Can I return an item?
You have 14 days from receipt to change your mind, which Miloubo extends to 30 days as a goodwill gesture (article 8 of our Terms of Sale). We pay for the return: the prepaid label is provided by Miloubo, and you are never charged for sending it back. The refund is made within 14 days of receiving the return. The product arrived broken or incomplete
Email us at contact@miloubo.com with your order number and a photo. We send the missing piece or the complete product at our expense, without needing the return first in most cases.
How do you look after a wooden toy?
A slightly damp cloth, then dry straight away. Never soak it, never put it in the dishwasher: water makes plywood swell. For products that need assembling, re-tighten the screws every two or three months.
Is there a promotion on at the moment?
Yes: the fall offer, up to -60%, is already applied to the prices shown on the site. It applies to a limited batch that we reserved with our manufacturer: once this batch is sold, the offer stops. On top of that, the code BIENVENUE10 gives you 10% off your first order, with no minimum spend (once per customer), to be entered at checkout. Only one promo code can be used per order: codes cannot be combined.
Do influencers talk about Miloubo?
Yes: several content creators have already tested and recommended Miloubo, and 30 new influencers will receive the new Miloubo collection in October.
What payment methods do you accept?
Bank card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Bancontact and PayPal. Payment in instalments is not offered at the moment. Payment is secured by Shopify.
