Is it good for long car rides?
It's actually the #1 use: a lot of our sales start with a car ride that went wrong.
Closed, it fits in a diaper bag. From The Discovery Set up, the travel strap hooks it to the headrest: even when dropped, nothing falls, nothing rolls under the seat.
Recommended age
The busy book is perfect from 6 months to 5 years.
Before 18 months, it's a great way to keep little hands busy: your child explores the textures, the fasteners and the buckles, with a little supervision.
From 18 months, it becomes a real tool for learning everyday skills: lacing, buttoning, zipping, buckling.
Always supervise before 18 months.
Which set should you choose: The Essential, The Discovery Set or The Backpack Set?
The Essential — 4 pages. Fine motor skills (those small finger movements: grabbing, pinching, pulling), everyday skills and basic logic. Lighter to carry, perfect for the youngest toddlers.
The Discovery Set — everything in The Essential, plus a learning section: the full alphabet, numbers and animal puzzles. The travel strap is free starting with this set.
The Backpack Set — everything in The Discovery Set, in a wearable version: the busy book is worn like a little backpack, with the wooden steering wheel and the zippered pouch on top.
In short: a simple travel toy, The Essential. A complete learning kit, The Discovery Set. A bag your child carries on their own, The Backpack Set.

In the car
They can't drop it. And you don't have to turn around.
“ He dropped them every single time, or threw them on purpose… ”
It has its handle and its travel strap (from The Discovery Set): hooked to the headrest, even when dropped it stays within reach of their hands, instead of rolling under the seat.
A toy that doesn't fall is a car ride where nobody turns around.

That moment you hand over the tablet, just to finish the meal
“ I was dreading the looks from the other tables. We pulled it out with the appetizers and she stayed on it until the main course. ”
Then the guilt of the tablet, just to catch your breath for five minutes.
You're not letting them down. You just needed another option to pull out of the bag.

Frequently asked questions
What does my child do with it when they're bored or restless?
It's the first reason parents buy one. A toddler digs in when they're bored, when they're overstimulated, or when they have nothing "to do".
The busy book gives them a job of their own, matched to their age: at one year old, a buckle to clip or a shape to put back; from two or three, lacing their own shoe. Now they have something to do with their hands, within their reach.
That's what our 15,000 parents and kids report (average rating 4.8/5). And you have 30 days to judge for yourself.
What age is it for?
Designed to grow with your child, the Miloubo busy book works from 6 months to 5 years — but not with the same skills.
From 6 to 18 months, it keeps curious hands busy with simple motions (touching, pulling, spinning), under adult supervision.
From 18 months to 3 years, it moves on to clip buckles and buttons — the first everyday skills.
From 3 years, it progresses to laces and telling time: the same motions, only harder, so they keep progressing instead of getting bored.
What if my child gets bored?
That's the problem with most toys: too loud, too simple, or the novelty wears off in a few minutes.
The busy book is different. With 30+ activities to handle — buckles, zippers, laces, shapes, numbers, alphabet — there's always a skill they haven't mastered yet. The difficulty levels vary: the one they miss today, they'll nail in a month.
And if it really doesn't click? You have 30 days to send it back to us, with return shipping on us.
Is it safe for my child?
The felt is non-toxic and the pages are stitched down. The product carries the CE mark and meets the European EN 71 standard, parts 1, 2 and 3.
Let's be clear on one point: some of the pieces are designed to come off — the shapes, animals, numbers, letters. That's what lets kids sort them, place them and start over. They are small parts, so under age 3, play should be supervised by an adult.
How is it different from the cheaper activity boards sold on Amazon?
Most cheap boards arrive as one bulky piece, with three or four activities and unclear instructions.
Ours folds up, and its pages detach: you can give one to each of your kids, or take just two in the car to lighten the load.
What sets it apart: 30+ activities instead of three or four, use from age 1 to 5 instead of a single season, and a format that goes everywhere — home, car, restaurant, plane.
What if my child already uses screens?
That's exactly where it helps the most. Lots of parents feel trapped by the tablet: it's the only thing that works, and the guilt hits right after.
The busy book keeps them as busy as a screen, but instead of zoning out, your child works real fasteners: laces, buckles, buttons, zippers. You don't have to take anything away: you get a second option for the moments you don't want the screen.
How big is the board?
Folded for travel: 28 × 22.5 cm (11 × 8.9 in), handle included. Open flat: 45 cm (17.7 in) wide.
Light and thin, it slips into most diaper bags and carry-ons: it's the companion for car rides, flights and everyday outings.
How do you clean it?
A barely damp sponge and a little mild soap, then lay flat to dry. No machine, no soaking: the thick felt swells and the seams take a beating. Applesauce stains come out with lukewarm water, permanent marker doesn't — that's the only real limit.
How long does it really keep them busy?
About twenty minutes in a row for a child between 18 months and 3 years, once they know the pages. The first few times, it's shorter: they explore, they test, they come back.
We'd rather say twenty minutes than promise hours. The reviews of other brands that promise "hours" are full of "it kept him busy for five minutes."
Where do you ship, and how long does it take?

The relief, in their own words
15,000+ parents and kids won over — here are twelve of their stories.
Laetitia V. · Ethan's mom, 9 months
✓ Verified purchaseAt nine months, he pulls the Velcro and that's plenty. He obviously can't do the harder activities. He touches the textures, pulls the Velcro, turns the pages. It keeps him busy while I make dinner, and that's already huge.

Élodie R. · Jules's mom, 14 months
✓ Verified purchaseHe had tons of toys and couldn't care less. That was exactly our problem: tons of toys within reach and he didn't play with any of them. Now he opens it, closes it, does it again. Twenty minutes by the clock, while I finish my coffee.
Marion L. · Anna's mom, 18 months
✓ Verified purchaseThe first restaurant meal where we actually finished our plates. I was mostly dreading the looks from the other tables. We pulled it out with the appetizers and she stayed on it until the main course. Nobody turned around to look at us, and that is priceless.
Hélène P. · Zoé's grandma, 1 year
✓ Verified purchaseI wanted to give something other than a battery-operated toy. I was looking for a gift that doesn't make noise and doesn't end up at the bottom of the toy bin. My daughter thanked me: it fits in the diaper bag and goes everywhere with them.
Sophie M. · Noah's mom, 2 years
✓ Verified purchaseHe can't drop it. It used to all end up under the seat and I'd crane my neck at every red light. Now it has its handle and its strap: even when he drops it, it stays hooked to the car seat.

Marine T. · Gabriel's godmother, 2 years
✓ Verified purchaseHe didn't touch the other packages. A gift for his second birthday. He opened it, sat down on the floor with it, and didn't let go all afternoon. The other presents stayed wrapped.

Nadia F. · Sami's mom, 2 and a half years
✓ Verified purchaseHe gets carsick, so a screen was out of the question. The moment he watches anything moving in the car, he throws up. We had no solution for road trips. Now his eyes are on his hands, and we did two hours without one emergency stop.
Camille D. · Léa's mom, 3 years
✓ Verified purchaseEight hours on the road, and not a single movie. A very long drive with a 3-year-old. I was looking for a way to keep her busy without putting on a cartoon. She stayed with it for the first two hours, and went back to it after every break.
Fanny D. · Rose's mom, 3 years
✓ Verified purchaseOut at takeoff, packed away at landing. Three hours on a plane. No meltdown, no screen, and I didn't have to negotiate with her even once. The flight attendant asked us where we found it.

Amandine G. · mom of two, ages 3 and 5
✓ Verified purchaseWe got the Duo Set to stop the fighting in the back seat. With just one, it was war in the back seat. One each, each their own color, and suddenly all you hear is zippers.
Claire B. · Tom's mom, 4 years
✓ Verified purchaseBought for his 2nd birthday, still using it. At first it was the Velcro and the buttons. Now it's the laces and the clock. The other toys from his 2nd birthday have been in the attic for ages. This one hasn't.

Julie C. · Louna's mom, 5 years
✓ Verified purchaseShe buttons her coat all by herself. It sounds silly, but it's exactly what I was hoping for: she got the motion on the board, and one morning she buttoned her coat without me. She was prouder than I was.
